Chapter Three

So Amaranthine has started a new life in Honolulu, Hawaii, at a new middle school, has made the same friends with Ailani, Sofia, Zoe, and Leia, has joined the cheerleading squad with them, and has met Dylan from the football team and other sports he plays… Then Miao star kindergarten. Irian found out she is going to have another baby after moving into their new place a month ago.

One day, Amaranthine got up for school. She had to go to school, too, but she had a hard time because Irian wasn’t feeling well, and it was about time for the baby to come. So Amaranthine, when help Miao to get what for school and talk with her about what is go on with Irian and why she can’t much as she have before she go pregnant and I was full the same when she was pregnant whith her I was have hard to do stuff to but Kai help me out and not it my turn to help you Miao.

Miao said, “Did mommy help a lot after I came?”

Amaranthine said, “Yes! But she was busy with you, but it was okay because I came to you, big sister, and now you get to be a big sister to.”

Miao said, “Like that sound, I get to be a big sister.”

Amaranthine said, “Ok! Glad about being a big sister, but you still need to do your school stuff too and help around the house like you did.”

Miao said, “I will have you and daddy to help me.”

Amaranthine said, “That’s what we do have, Dad.” That’s when Amaranthine handed Dylan the driveway to go to school with her. That’s when she looks at Miao: “ok, you dress now.” Time goes by, and she gets the same breakfast. But by the time she said that to Miao, she had run downstairs and was at the door, about to open it for Dylan.

When Miao opened the door for Dylan, she jumped up to give him a hug and said, “I am going to be a big sister soon.” Amaranthine was about to take a step when she saw and heard what Miao said to Dylan, stare at her, and told Miao to go to the kitchen, eat breakfast, and go to school. Dylan is late going to Miao, so she can go eat breakfast, then go to Amaranthine and give Hugh a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Then both went to the kitchen to eat breakfast with Miao. While we were eating, Kai walked into the kitchen and said “Hi!” to everyone. Kai asks Amaranthine, “I know you have cheerleading practice after school today, but I need you to get Miao after school today.

Amaranthine asks, “Why is mom o?k”

Kai looked at Miao, then said, “Irian is full of little contractions; she thinks she means to have a baby today.”

Amaranthine looked at Kai and said, “Really, she has contractions, though she has another mouth to go.”

Kai said, “I don’t know why I have to go to the doctor after taking Miao school.

Dylan said, “Kai, Amaranthine, and I can take Miao to school this morning, and you stay with Irian.”

Kai said, “If you want, that’s fine with me.” But what Miao would like Dylan and your sister to take to school this morning?”

Miao said, “Yes! That’s cool, get a ride in the cool car this morning.”

So Amaranthine, Dylan, and Miao finish their breakfast, and then get the school stuff, and take Miao to school. After toke Miao school, Dylan and Amaranthine started going to school, but on their way there, Amaranthine started talking to Dylan and said, “I hope Irian is ok because she still has another month before the baby comes.

Dylan said, “It ok Amaranthine, she’s fine. At the same time, babies come sooner than things, and the baby is ok.”

Amaranthine said, “I know, but same tall me same go happen, I mean, don’t know about Irian and baby, it could be something else.”

They just pulled up to school, and Amaranthine friends Ailani, Sofia, Zoe, and Leia were waiting for them, and it looked like Dylan’s friend Wyatt was waiting for them. They all waited for everyone to show up for school, then walk in together. But today Wyatt ran up to Dylan and said, ” I have the same news for you, and you won’t believe it.

Dylan said, “What’s the news?’

Wyatt starts to say that when Sas, Hal, and Raven keep to themselves most of the time, but not today, they walk with everyone. They both came up and said, “Hey!” and each responded with, “Hey!”

Hal turned to Dylan and said, “I am going to start on the football team, and the coach wants me to make friends with some of the guys on the team, and I thought of you to make friends with.

Dylan and Wyatt at the same time said, ‘Welcome to the team, and you are welcome to hang out with us.

Hal then said, “Think you and if it ok if my sister hangs out with you, Amaranthine, and your friends too.”

Amaranthine said, “That be ok, you do cheerlead, so you try out for the squad.”

Raven said, “Sorry, I’m not really a cheerleader person, but I will come watch if that’s ok.”

Amaranthine said, “That’s fine, you can come watch, but you can try to go for it, but today you can go to practice.”

Ailani said, “What, you didn’t come today is every thing ok?”

Amaranthine said, “Yes, I am fine, but Irian has the same contraction, and Kai is taking her to the doctor to check out, so I have to go get Miao from school today.

Dylan said, “I am going to football practice to help Amaranthine get Miao from school.”

Wyatt said, “Dylan lucked you as the quarterback for the team’s best play that coach is cool about missing practice.”

That’s when the school bell rang too late, so they knew school would start soon. So Amaranthine and others went to the locker to get the stuff for class, then went to the first period of school. Dylan walks halfway with Amaranthine to her class, then kisses her on her cheek and sees her at lunch, and they part ways.
